BSMU teachers and students participated in the Сonference of Physicians

14-15 December in Ufa, in the Congress hall Bashkir State Medical University together with Ministry of Healthcare of Bashkortostan and the Russian Scientific Medical Society of Physicians (RSMSP) carried out 38^th scientific-practical conference of RSMSP. The conference gathered well-known physicians from Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Ufa and other cities of Russia.

On behalf of the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Bashkortostan Deputy Minister Elsa Syrtlanova welcomed the organizers, participants and guests. She stressed the importance of the conference in solving priority areas of public healthcare.

- All our efforts are aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of health care to the population, - said the Deputy Minister. – Due to the efficient work we have improved the data. For example, the mortality rate of the population in the Republic goes on the decline; it is below the target value. Today, the figure is 12.4 ppm.

President of RSMSP, academician of RAS, MD, Professor Anatoly Martynov thanked the Ministry of Healthcare of Bashkortostan for the excellent organization of the conference.

- Joint activities give an opportunity to discuss new achievements of science and practice, learn about new clinical guidelines, - said Anatoly Martynov.

He also added that every year the conference is dedicated to one of the most outstanding doctors, who played a major role in the development of therapeutic services. This year it is dedicated to the 120^thanniversary of the outstanding physician birthday - Vladimir Kharitonovich Vasilenko.

In his speech, Anatoly Martynov told about the activities of the Russian scientific medical society of physicians. As the President of RSMSP said, currently, in the Society of physicians more than 7.5 thousand specialists registered from different regions of the country. Current issues on various profiles of medicine RSMSP members discuss at scientific conferences, congresses and conventions.

At the opening of the conference, Anatoly Martynov awarded Akhat Bakirov Barievich, MD, Professor, head of Therapy and Clinical Pharmacology Additional Professional Educational Institution Chair with Gratitude from the Russian Scientific Medical Society of Physicians for the big contribution to medicine development, as well as for active participation in the activities of RSMSP. The best physicians of the Republic were awarded with diplomas.

In addition, at the opening of the conference Vice-rector for BSMU Clinical Work, Professor Vitaly V. Viktorov spoke.

During the conference  Anatoliy Martynov visited BSMU simulation center, praised the level of equipment and extensive use of devices for educational and scientific work of the University.
