The organizers of the first professional Olympics between students "I am a Professional" summarize the registration results: 294 246 applications from Russia and foreign countries were sent at the Olympics from 7 November till 10 December. Simultaneously with the registration the online phase of the project has finished either, the results of which will be published after 25 December.
The top ten regions according to the number of registrations are the following:

As Valeriy Kasamara, "I am a Professional" project Manager, says, the citizens not only from Russia, but also from other countries paid attention to this project: more than 3200 applications.
“The Olympics have caused genuine interest among foreign participants. Now we understand that we are 46 countries, whose citizens have applied to participate in the Olympics. Among the foreign participants, there are mainly young colleagues from CIS countries. By the way this year all tasks they will perform in the Russian language”, - Valeriy Kasamara informed.
The organizers made a portrait of young people who expressed the interest to the project. Gender ratio of registered is as follows: 61% girls and 39% boys. The vast majority, 80 percent, goes to the project website and the social network using mobile devices. It is noteworthy that according to Moscow time zone the students recorded at night and in the evening twice more often than during the daytime.
The organizers also conducted a survey in the official project group in the social network Vkontakte to find out what is the main motivation of participating in the Olympics. For 45% of the respondents the key incentive is the admission to master study or postgraduate school, for 19% of the respondents is a test of knowledge, still for 19% of the responders is internship in a large company. For 9% of the participants the most important incentive is the opportunity to receive a cash prize, for the 5% of all of them is the profile in the national database of Young Professionals. The Olympics have registered students from 836 universities and their affiliates. The leader of our country became B.N. Yeltsin, the first President of Russia, Ural Federal University (UrFU). 12 439 applications are from the largest University in the Urals. Higher School of Economics in Moscow (National Research University Higher School of Economics) is on the second place (9 850 registrations). Tyumen State University (TSU) with 6 207 applications is on the third place, the fourth place goes to the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) with 4 393 registrations, and the fifth place is taken by Magnitogorsk State Technical University (G.I. Nosov MSTU) with 4 287 applications. From St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) the organizers received 4 183 application, and from I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University (Sechenovskiy University) they got 4 167 applications.
The number of registrations for each of the most popular fields has exceeded 15 thousand. The top ten most popular fields are the following:

7 December, summarizing the preliminary results of registration to the Olympics among students "I am a Professional" in MIA "Russia today", RAS academician Pyotr Glybochko, rector of Sechenovskiy University, noted at the press conference:
“Individual educational route is important for any student, and especially for a medical student, whose organization of the educational process takes into account the interests of the health system, employers, and society as a whole. Of course, our role is to aid the student in designing his own path and expanding the horizon of opportunities based on the principles of interdisciplinarity, which are necessary for the medical sector. The formation of new approaches to health-care model dictates the need for advanced training of specialists of new generation. Exactly in the vector of training doctors of the future, we will organize Winter Medical School of Sechenovskiy Medical University, which will be held from 31 January, 2017 till 4 February, 2018 at the sanatorium "Zvenigorod" of our University. Participants will enjoy a rich educational program, interactive meetings with renowned experts, industry leaders, master classes and guest schools, a discussion platform and co-working spaces during several days.
After 25 December we will know who of the participants will have passed to the final stage. It will be held from 27 to 30 January 2018 in face-to-face format at the regional forums. About 25% of the participants of the final stage of the Olympics will be among the winners.
This activity for the participants of the competition will not be final. In late January-early February 11 winter schools will be open, each of them will invite 150 most successful participants of the online stage, the last additional selection of the competition is motivation letters. They will meet leading Russian scientists and representatives of companies-partners of the project. Program schools will be practice-orientated and will allow the participants to obtain information that is not yet taught in universities.
At the period from 19 February till 2 March the names of the winners will be announced. More than 50 gold medalists will receive cash prizes. For undergraduates the amount is 200 thousand rubles, for the students of specialist and master degrees programs is 300 thousand rubles.
More than one thousand winners will get internships in major Russian companies and leading research centers. Internships will take place more than three months, and many of them will be paid.
Moreover, winners will receive the maximum score while applying for residency, master and PhD programs of the leading universities in the country. All the winners will be enrolled into a closed national database "Young professionals", the access to which the recruiters of major Russian companies will have.
