Bashkir Medical University and SberIndia launch a joint pilot to work with foreign students

Sberbank offered the university a convenient digital platform with services for Indian students.

Bashkir State Medical University is considering using Sberbank's digital platform to attract students from India. The bank and the university signed an agreement on this at the Innoprom exhibition in Yekaterinburg.

The platform automates the work to attract foreign students, in particular, from India, including paperwork and adaptation in Russia. The agreement also provides that the bank will conduct lectures, seminars and master classes for foreign students of BSMU on financial literacy, banking products and services. In addition, Sberbank will consider the possibility of providing special conditions for serving students and university employees.

We are developing partnerships with Russian universities, where students from India study, and offer convenient tools for calculating tuition fees, as well as a number of related services. In 2026, the number of universities that joined Sberbank's partner program to pay for Indian students increased by a third. BSMU management is also interested in these opportunities, and we are ready to support cooperation within the pilot, jointly developing services for Indian students. I am sure that interest in such cooperation will grow on the part of other Russian universities.
