BSMU signed a cooperation agreement with the University of Abuja (Nigeria)

Bashkir State Medical University (BSMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia, Ufa) and the University of Abuja (Nigeria) signed an agreement on the development of cooperation in the field of medical education and medical science.

The document was signed by the rector of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Valentin Nikolaevich Pavlov and the rector of the University of Abuja, Professor Hakim Babatunde Fawehinmi.

The document provides for comprehensive cooperation in five areas. In addition to holding joint congresses and symposia, universities will establish academic mobility programs for undergraduates, residents and graduate students, as well as organize internships for teaching staff. The basis for cooperation will be partnerships within research projects and joint work on scientific grants.

The agreement is concluded for 5 years with the possibility of automatic prolongation. Currently, 25 students from Nigeria are mastering educational programs at the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia.
