More than 1600 new doctors and medical specialists: a solemn 89th graduation was held at BSMU

On July 3, a bright and long-awaited event of the University took place at the Ufa-Arena site - a solemn ceremony of presenting diplomas to graduates of 2025. Guests of honor, University staff, parents of graduates and their friends gathered to congratulate already certified specialists. The event was also attended by those who are just planning to enter the University - our future applicants.

This year, 1,686 graduates (including specialists with secondary vocational education) joined the ranks of medical workers. The special pride of the university is 238 holders of honors diplomas. The geography of employment and origin of students is wide: 274 foreign citizens received diplomas, five of whom graduated from the university with red diplomas. Another 289 documents on secondary special education were presented to graduates of BSMU College.

The university notes a growing interest in interdisciplinary and social areas. In comparison with last year, the graduation of bachelors and masters in the direction of "Biology" (50 people) more than doubled, and the number of masters in the program "Social Work" (25 people) increased.

The high level of training of BSMU specialists is also confirmed by large-scale agreements on targeted training. Some of the young doctors will go to work in institutions whose customers are the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Ministry of Health of the Kamchatka Territory, the Federal Medical and Biological Agency (FMBA of Russia), Rospotrebnadzor and Russian Railways OJSC.

Rector of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Valentin Pavlov congratulated the graduates on their graduation from the University and thanked the faculty of the university, the parents of the graduates who had been with future doctors for all 6 years:

Your course is unique. You are the winners of the Olympiads, participants in the Russia-Africa summits, the International Student Festival, winners of the "I am a professional" Olympiads.

More than 280 students will receive degrees today. You evolved and our university evolved. We have strengthened our positions together with you in federal development programs, built new buildings, opened new institutes of fundamental science and translational medicine.

Our University occupies a worthy place in the world-class Intercollegiate Campus. BSMU is the best regional medical university in Russia. This is our common merit, this is our common victory.

The solemn part of the ceremony alternated with bright creative numbers performed by students and graduates of the University. The creative teams of the Bashkir State Medical University presented the guests of the holiday with unforgettable emotions, showing that future doctors are not only excellent students, but also talented, versatile personalities.

Honorary guests came to congratulate the graduates, who wished the graduates to carry interest in the profession through their whole lives.

"Today's holiday is a celebration not only for graduates of the Bashkir State Medical University, it is a celebration for the whole republic, since today's graduates will replenish the intellectual and personnel sovereignty of Bashkortostan with their knowledge and competencies. Dear graduates, you have years of hard work behind! We know that students are always accompanied by sleepless nights, and many notes, and worries about tests and exams - but all this is over! And today you have received from the university those competencies and those knowledge that will be useful to you in your future profession. Of course, I would like to believe that you have learned not only to treat according to protocols, but have gained fundamental knowledge in the field of biochemistry, physiology, pharmacology, which are the basis of evidence-based medicine. Today, the Republic of Bashkortostan sets ambitious goals to get not just a specialist who will treat the population of the republic and the Russian Federation, but to train a thinking specialist who accepts, applies innovations and new things in his work. Dear graduates, I want to wish you not to lose the craving for the new and the curiosity that accompanied you during your studies. Behind your every diagnosis is the life and health of a person who completely depends on your professional competencies," Svetlana Mustafina, Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan for Science and Higher Education, congratulated.

"Student years are the most difficult era in the life of everyone, especially those who study at a medical university. And today, our dear students, this stage of life is a victory for all those who were near you. You graduated from one of the best medical universities in our country. And I am sure that the foundation that has been obtained will become a starting point for further development.
