BSMU delegation presented scientific research at the International Forum in Almaty

Associate professors of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 of the Bashkir State Medical University took part in the VI International Forum "Ana men bala" in Almaty. The conference was of an anniversary nature and was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Honored Scientist of the Republic of Kazakhstan, an outstanding obstetrician-gynecologist, Doctor of Medical Sciences Professor Nina Amirovna Kayupova.

The forum brought together leading specialists in the field of obstetrics, gynecology, neonatology, genetics and microbiology from the countries of the Near Abroad and the USA.

Within the framework of the plenary session "Actual issues of women's reproductive health," Associate Professor Sofya Yuryevna Muslimova and leading researcher at the Institute of Fundamental Medicine Sagit Askhatovich Muslimov presented a report on the possibilities of preserving the follicular reserve of ovaries after surgical removal of large and giant tumors in girls.

Associate Professor Elmira Maratovna Zulkarneeva shared the results of a study that reveals the patterns of changes in the vaginal microbiota depending on the stage of postmenopause. The presentations of our scientists were highly appreciated by the professional community and stimulated the active exchange of clinical experience between participants from different countries.

In addition to the scientific program, an important component of the visit was work on strengthening international academic ties. Representatives of the Bashkir State Medical University met with the chairman of the board of the Scientific Center for Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology JSC G.G. Urazbaeva and leading employees of the institution. The parties discussed the prospects for cooperation, and also got acquainted with the organization of the obstetric, gynecological and children's gynecological departments of the center, having studied modern standards of diagnosis and treatment used in clinical practice. Special attention was paid to a working conversation with academician V.N. Lokshin, within the framework of which specific directions were outlined for joint research initiatives.

The BSMU delegation also actively participated in the educational events of the forum. Our specialists met with residents of the first and second years of study of the Scientific Center, where they shared their many years of clinical experience and answered questions from novice doctors. In addition, associate professors Muslimova and Zulkarneeva joined the jury of the competition for young scientists, evaluating current scientific developments and supporting talented medical youth in developing their professional path.

The established contacts and practical experience gained will contribute to the further improvement of the educational programs of BSMU, the introduction of modern clinical protocols and the development of joint research projects.
