Foreign students of BSMU won prizes at the 80th International Scientific and Practical Conference in Uzbekistan

The student delegation of Bashkir State Medical University took an active part in the 80th International Scientific and Practical Conference of Students and Young Scientists "Achievements of Fundamental, Applied Medicine and Pharmacy", which was held at Samarkand State Medical University (Uzbekistan). The delegation sent to the scientific event included foreign students.

The students presented their reports on pediatrics, medical rehabilitation, public health, normal physiology and medical linguistics. In the competition of young scientists, students of the Bashkir State Medical University won prizes.

1st place - Arya Jyotirmay, report on "The impact of breastfeeding duration on the frequency of acute otitis media in infants and toddlers". Supervisor: Gafurova Rita Rinatovna, Associate Professor, Department of Faculty Pediatrics and Neonatology, Bashkir State Medical University, Ministry of Health of Russia.

1st place - Yashi Singh, report on "Physical Rehabilitation after a stroke at the second stage of medical rehabilitation". Supervisor: Karpova Ekaterina Sergeevna, assistant of the department of medical rehabilitation, physical therapy and sports medicine.

1st place - Yatendra Dutt Sharma, report on "Oxidative stress and inflammation: a central mechanism in the pathophysiology of diseases." Supervisors: Tuguzbaeva Gulnara Maratovna, Head of the Department of Pathophysiology and Gilyazova Irina Rishatovna Associate Professor of the Department of Medical Genetics and Fundamental Medicine IDPO.

2nd place - Neelam Kumari, report on "Metaphors of pain in Russian, English and Hindi: reflection of cultural models of etiology and patient centred approach." Supervisor: Linnik Lyubov Aleksandrovna, acting Head of the Department of Russian Language, Linguistics and International Communication.

3rd place - Yash Sanjay Gurmule, report on "The effect of slow deep breathing on heart rate variability in healthy young people." Supervisor: Ziyakaeva Klara Rashitovna, Associate Professor of the Department of Normal Physiology.

The event brought together representatives of student scientific societies from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Algeria, Belarus, Russia and other countries. The conference program included scientific sections, discussion of topical issues of modern medicine and pharmacy, as well as a tour of the museum of Samarkand State Medical University.
