The delegation of the Turkish Ataturk University, headed by the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Professor Recep Orbak, visited the Bashkir State Medical University. The visit was devoted to the exchange of academic experience, presentation of scientific developments and discussion of the prospects for bilateral partnership.
The guests visited the Interuniversity Student Campus and the Institute of Fundamental Medicine of BSMU, where they got acquainted with the modern laboratory base and infrastructure. BSMU scientists presented the results of breakthrough studies. Turkish colleagues highly appreciated the level of scientific competencies, logistics and expressed readiness for joint implementation of projects.
For students of our University, lectures were given by Professor Recep Orbak, as well as Professor Zerrin Orbak. Classes were held with the participation of a professional translator and covered key topics of modern clinical and fundamental medicine:
"Possible causes of bone atrophy around implants and proposed solutions" (prof. R. Orbak);
"The bone system of the body and bone health throughout the life of a person" (prof. Z. Orbak).
Ataturk University is one of the oldest and most reputable universities in Turkey. Named after the founder of the modern Turkish state, Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the university is traditionally included in the TOP-10 of the national rating and consistently occupies positions in the first five hundred best universities in the world according to international rating systems. The university unites more than 15 faculties, has its own clinical base, and is actively developing areas of medicine, engineering, natural sciences and humanities.
The visit of the delegation of Ataturk University was another step in strengthening international relations of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia and confirming the growing authority of the university on the world academic stage.
