Dialogue on an equal footing: the rector of BSMU, together with student activists, inspected the construction facilities of the university

Rector of BSMU, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Valentin Pavlov, members of the university administration, together with an asset of student self-government, got acquainted with the current stage of large-scale construction and reconstruction facilities of the University.

The meeting allowed not only to assess the progress of infrastructure modernization, but also to discuss the principles of forming a modern educational environment, based on the wishes of students.

The bypass program included three key positions of large-scale construction: the multifunctional center of the Bashkir State Medical University under construction, the reconstructed hostel on the campus of the University, as well as the repair of the 5th floor of the educational building No. 7.

Very soon, the BSMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia will have even more modern lecture halls, coworking areas and spaces for a comfortable student life that meet the highest standards of convenience and functionality.

The youth asset of the students went the entire route together with the rector, studying each object in detail. Students not only got acquainted with the results of the work, but also directly participated in the discussion of the layout and zoning of spaces.

However, the most striking indicator of the real dialogue was the moment after the end of the official part of the meeting: the students stayed on the site to continue exchanging ideas and solutions among themselves. This once again proves that the initiative and keen interest in the development of alma-mater today come from the students themselves. The task from the rector for future doctors is to come up with the name of the student MFC under construction.

"Any repair makes no sense if we create it without taking into account the opinions of those who will study and live here. Student government today is a real tool of self-government. Ideas for the organization of study areas, recreaction areas and wayfinding will be implemented within our facilities," - Rector of BSMU, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Valentin Pavlov.

Students noted that the open format of interaction with the university leadership allows them to quickly make adjustments and take into account the needs of students.

The rector's view, his memories open up new, even more valuable facets for students. Entering the classrooms, floors of the buildings, students will learn unique historical facts about those who once studied within the walls of the Bashkir State Medical University, we saw young people who, in their extracurricular hours, continue to independently hone their medical skills.

The students managed to visit the very first office of the rector, in which once, while still a graduate student of the BGMI at the Department of Operative Surgery and Topographic Anatomy, the future academician completed the program ahead of schedule (in a year and a half) and continued to conquer medical science.

The modernization of the BSMU infrastructure continues, and each stage takes place with the direct participation of the student community.
