As a part of the Eurasian Forum of Colorectal Surgery, BSMU was visited by delegations of experts from China, Italy and Russia.
During the visit, lectures for BSMU students were given
- Federico Maria Mongardin - Associate Professor at the Luigi Vanvitelli Campania University, Consultant Surgeon at Casa di Cura Pio XI - Department of Coloproctology
- Liu Yang - Director of Colorectal Surgery, Jiangsu Provincial Cancer Hospital, China
Students had an exceptional opportunity to listen to a series of lectures by world-famous medical scientists and learn everything about the experience of diagnosing and treating colorectal cancer.
"This is my first visit to Russia and the Republic of Bashkortostan. Last year, at a congress of colorectal surgeons in Beijing, I met Professor Arthur Ibatullin. This is where my acquaintance with Russian medicine began. On the international stage, in my opinion, the University shows a high level of colorectal surgery. Today's forum brings together a large number of doctors from around the world. Experts from China and India present their work, show live surgery. I'm excited to be here! And I am impressed by the scientific achievements of the University, which I learned about today during an excursion," a graduate of the University of Naples, Doctor, PhD Federico Maria Mongardini (Rome, Italy) said.
"My professors and colleagues already came to the forum last year. I also met at a conference on colorectal surgery in Beijing with Professor Arthur Ibatullin. And now I've come to see your university and hospital. We came to the forum with a team of five to share our experience with the NOSES procedure, which is often used in China. Thanks to communication with Russian colleagues, we gain experience that we will take home and use to treat our patients, " Professor Liu Zheng, director of the gastrointestinal tract tumors department at the Arion Beijing Cancer Center (Beijing, China) said.
Experts not only demonstrated their unique experience in theoretical classes, but also took part in "live surgery."
