University Chose Top Speaker Among International Students

On 27 February, the Department of Russian Language, Linguistics and International Communication hosted the public speaking contest Medical Linguistics and the Art of Oratory. The event was organized by the department’s academic club Student Medical Linguistics.

Twelve first‑year students from the General Medicine and Dentistry faculties competed for the top title. All contestants were international students studying in Russian.

Winners:

1st place — Dinish Eugénio Savimbu Kamakalate (L‑112 A) — “The Culture of Scientific Speech in Medicine”;
2nd place — Mateus Kalungila Nghuumhua (L‑115 B) — “The Culture of Verbal Communication in Medicine”;
3rd place — Aytaj Mammadova (St‑104 A) — “The Culture of Formal Oral and Written Medical Speech”.
