BSMU begins cooperation with the largest biotechnological company BIOCAD

Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia, relying on the innovative development and introduction of modern technologies in research and clinical practice, acquires new partners.

Representatives of BIOCAD, headed by Director General Dmitry Vladimirovich Sivokoz, visited the university. The delegation also included Deputy General Director for Early Development Pavel Andreevich Yakovlev.

BIOCAD is one of the largest biotechnological innovative companies in Russia, uniting world-class research centers, modern pharmaceutical and biotechnological production, preclinical and clinical research that meets international standards.

BIOCAD is of great interest to the medical university in terms of innovative development and technological leadership. In turn, the Bashkir State Medical University is interesting to the company as a source of new scientific ideas and technologies, as well as a platform for research and development of new products. The university has a powerful scientific potential - in the last two years alone, more than 10 scientific laboratories have opened at the university, equipped according to modern world standards.

The guests, accompanied by the rector of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Valentin Pavlov, got acquainted with the scientific and educational potential of the University: they visited the laboratories of the Institute of Urology and Clinical Oncology of the BSMU Clinic, the Institute of Fundamental Medicine, the Interuniversity Student Campus, the Center for Robotic Surgery, visited the construction of the Institute of Translational Medicine.

Representatives of the company noted that the presence of University’s own clinic is the most important factor for the development of university science and the training of specialists of tomorrow, and also that at present there are a large number of innovative approaches to personalized therapy.

Cooperation with a biotechnological innovative company is an opportunity not only to expand the potential of scientific and educational projects of the Bashkir Medical University, but also to form new product lines, scientific competencies that are based on solving product problems.

"Today, the country and the world need new medical products, new knowledge, medicines. The university has become a solid basis for new scientific discoveries. We have created all the necessary conditions for young scientists to be able to realize their most daring ideas - the university's laboratories are equipped with high-tech modern equipment for conducting world-class research. The university has great potential in this direction: its own clinical base allows you to accumulate and structure the most valuable biological material and conduct large-scale research," the rector of the Belarusian State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Valentin Pavlov said.

As a part of the workshop, which was also held with representatives of university scientists, preliminary agreements were reached on the training of undergraduates in biology and biotechnology at the request of the company (target magistracy and graduate school), conducting clinical trials in oncology, cardiology, rheumatology, neurology, and also discussed the possibility of creating new scientific laboratories.
