BSMU entered the top of 3 best Russian medical universities according to THE's World University rating

Bashkir State Medical University (BSMU) has achieved a remarkable milestone by being ranked among the best medical universities in the world according to THE's World University Rankings.

This year, BSMU has climbed to an impressive position among 11 Russian medical universities, now placing 3rd, up from 9th last year. Additionally, it ranks 27nd among 103 Russian universities, a significant improvement from its previous position of 76th.

The ranking considers various factors, including the number of researchers and new laboratories, the presence of foreign faculty and students, and increased research expenditures. This recognition underscores BSMU's commitment to excellence in education and research within the global academic community!

* The rating is one of the most authoritative and prestigious ratings of universities, which evaluates educational and scientific institutions according to a number of criteria.

For THE rating, a methodology is used that includes 18 performance indicators in five areas: teaching, research, research quality, industry and international perspectives. The indicator "teaching (learning environment)" is assigned 29.5% of the assessment - the reputation of teachers, the ratio of the number of students and staff, doctoral degrees to the teaching staff, as well as the income of the educational institution are analyzed.

The "research environment" accounts for another 29%, which considers research reputation, research income and their productivity. 30% is allocated to the "quality of research" indicator - this is the impact on the citation, strength, superiority and impact of research, as well as the share of international students and international staff. For the indicator "international forecast" 7.5% is allocated, another 4% - for the indicator "industry."
