BSMU students promote cultural heritage on National Costume Day

Every year, on the third Friday of April and the second Friday of September, National Costume Day is celebrated. This year in September it fell on the 13th.

National Costume Day is a remarkable event that helps preserve and promote cultural heritage. Students who took part in the celebration demonstrated the diversity of traditional outfits and learn more about the meaning and history of each.

BSMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia is a multinational university. About 5 thousand foreign students from 60 countries of the world study at the university. Acquaintance and immersion in the cultural code of Russia and the Republic of Bashkortostan for foreign students is an opportunity not only to get acquainted with the unique traditions and customs of the region, but also to delve into the study of its language, history, art and features of the educational process.

The language barrier and the difference in mentality did not prevent foreign students from celebrating National Costume Day in the republic today.

Bright costumes not only created a festive atmosphere, but also became a link in strengthening unity and understanding between different cultures.
