Students and Academic Staff of BSMU - participants and prize-winners of the X Ufa International Marathon
On September 22, the X Ufa International Marathon was held in the capital of Bashkortostan, more than 10 thousand athletes and runners from 45 countries, 42 regions took part in it, including students and faculty of the Bashkir State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Russia. More than 80 Russian and foreign students of the University took part in the competition.
At the start from the Bashkir State Medical University came:
- Vice-Rector for Educational and Social Work Artur Mustafin;
- Head of the Department of Physical Culture Ruslan Gainullin;
- Head of the Department of Microbiology, Virology, MD, Professor Marcel Tuigunov;
- Head of the Department of Ophthalmology with the course of IDPO Timur Mukhamadeev;
- IRO representative Anastasia Presnyakova;
- Associate Professor of the Department of Hygiene Artem Agafonov;
- Rail Abzalilov, chairman of the BSMU sports club;
- Ilnar Salavatov, senior lecturer at the Department of Physical Culture;
- as well as teachers of the Department of Physical Culture Ilgam Ishmukhametov, Aydar Zakiev and students.
The BSMU team of the Ministry of Health of Russia performed with dignity and showed good results. Timur Mukhamadeev, head of the department of ophthalmology with an IDPO course, ran a marathon distance of 42.2 km in 3 hours 14 minutes. Associate Professor of the Department of Hygiene Artem Agafonov won the half marathon distance of 21.1 km. Bulat Ilyasov, a teacher at the Department of Physical Culture, ran a distance of 10 km. BSMU student El Khiresh (L-408B in) ran a half marathon distance of 21.1 km.
Participants ran through the historical part of the Bashkir capital along the main attractions - the monument to Salavat Yulaev, the Congress Hall, the Seven Girls fountain, the Ufa Arena ice palace and the monument to Mustai Karim. Winners and prize-winners were awarded commemorative medals and prizes.
