University students became the best in the Martial Arts Marathon "ZAshchitnik" among the universities of the Volga Federal District

BSMU students took part in the ZAshchitnik Martial Arts Marathon, which took place from November 1 to 4, 2024 in Ufa, at the Rima Batalova Center for Sports Training of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

The organizer of the event is a branch of the Russian Union of Martial Arts of the Republic of Bashkortostan with the assistance of DOSAAF and Rosgvardia. The project is implemented with assistance of Fund of grants of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

2130 athletes took part in the project - students of universities, colleges, high school students of secondary educational institutions from the Republic of Bashkortostan, Chelyabinsk region, Udmurt Republic, Novosibirsk region, Sverdlovsk region, Orenburg region, Republic of Tatarstan, as well as representatives of foreign countries. This event was the qualifying stage of the XX International Spartakiad of Martial Arts, which will be held in Ufa from December 19 to 23.
As part of the event, competitions, festival programs and demonstrations were held in 15 disciplines of popular sports and applied martial arts such as: army hand-to-hand combat, combat sniping, combat martial arts "Combat" all-style karate in all disciplines, judo, mas-wrestling, knife fighting, tug of war, fights with nunchaku, hand-to-hand combat, sports knife throwing, airsoft, wushu sanda, taolu.

The opening ceremony of the Festival - Marathon of martial arts "ZAshchitnik" was attended by a number of guests of honor from the State Assembly - Kurultay of the Republic of Bashkortostan of the seventh convocation, the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Bashkortostan, DOSAAF and Rosgvardia, the Civil Society Assistance Fund of the Republic of Bashkortostan, as well as participants in a special military operation, war veterans. Greetings to the guests and participants of the event came from the Senator of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the deputy corps of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. All members of the organizing committee for this event were marked with letters of thanks and commemorative medals.

All guests and participants had the opportunity to visit the memorial exhibition "Defending their Donbass" in memory of the Heroes of Russia who died in the North-West Military District.

Also, many people gathered an exhibition of weapons, collection and analysis of layouts with instructions, as well as courses on UAV management.

3rd place - Zufarov Islam (L-213A);
3rd place - Khanov Rail (P-207B).

On the second day, tug-of-war competitions were held.
1st place - the national team of BSMU international faculty (Turkmenistan);
2nd place - the national team of BSMU (Tajikistan);
3rd place - the national team of BSMU (India);
4th place - the national team of BSMU (India).

In addition, BSMU students were selected for the international competition "Union of Martial Arts" in mas-wrestling and tug of war, which will be held on December 16 in Ufa.

Students express great gratitude to the rector of BSMU Pavlov Valentin Nikolaevich for special attention to sports, as well as for attracting to competitions not only students of the Russian Federation, but also foreign countries, providing them with the opportunity to participate in a large number of competitions of various levels.
