The Bashkir Medical University knows how to better understand a foreigner and how foreigners can understand the culture of Bashkortostan: as part of practical training, foreign students are taught not only medical knowledge, but also knowledge about the cultural code of Russia.
International students of BSMU from India underwent practical training at the Central District Hospital. The task was to deepen and consolidate professional competencies obtained at the university.
The students acquired practical skills of patient care, nursing manipulations, control over sanitary hygienic treatment of wards and treatment rooms of the department, sanitary and educational work among patients.
A pleasant bonus for the residents of Zilairsky District was the classes held by foreign students teaching English to medical personnel and residents of the district.
The residents of the district also gave unforgettable impressions to the foreigners: the cultural program included a tour of Merchant Street, acquaintance with folk traditions of the republic, national cuisine and costumes.
Language barrier and difference of mentalities did not prevent foreign students and residents of Zilairsky district from providing interesting communication, strengthening international ties, including at the professional level and at the level of cultural exchange.
We thank Boris Nikolayevich Melkoyedov, Head of the Municipal District Administration of Zilairsky District, for his personal participation in strengthening cooperation between medical institutions of the district of the republic and Bashkir State Medical University
