Bashkir State Medical University and Yerevan State Medical University develop cooperation

Paruyr Artakovich Davtyan, assistant of the Chair of Internal Medicine Propaedeutics of BSMU, was trained in Erebuni Medical Center (Yerevan, Armenia).

Getting acquainted with the work of the medical center and meeting with the chief cardiologist of the Ministry of Health of Armenia, Head of the Department of Emergency Cardiology, Head of the Chair of Cardiology of Yerevan State Medical University, Prof. Hamlet Grishayevich Hayrapetyan gave an impetus to the development of various formats of cooperation between the medical universities of the two countries.

A separate item of the program was the acquaintance with Yerevan Medical University. Prof. Konstantin Borisovich Yenkoyan, Vice-Rector for Science, Doctor of Medical Sciences, introduced his colleague to the promising directions of the university and held a joint online meeting with Prof. Naufal Shamilevich Zagidullin, Head of the Department of Propaedeutics of Internal Diseases, Doctor of Medical Sciences.

Agreements were reached to establish contacts and cooperation between Bashkir State Medical University and Yerevan State Medical University in the spheres of mutual interest.

Reference: YSMU is a medical university with a 100-year history. 1275 specialists provide education to students, of them - 1000 teachers, 221 assistants and 54 invited specialists. Among them - 448 candidates of sciences, 148 doctors of sciences, 88 professors, 164 associate professors, 3 academicians. More than 70 invited professors.

YSMU occupies two hospital complexes where students get real experience. Geratsi Hospital Complex and Muratsan University Hospital.

YSMU currently has six faculties: School of Medicine, School of Dentistry, School of Pharmacology, School of Military Medicine, School of Public Health, School of Postgraduate and Continuing Education.

Currently, more than 7000 future doctors are studying at the university. 24% of these students are international students from 26 countries.
