The Rector of the University and the staff of the university took part in the XV All–Russian conference with international participation "Week of Medical Education - 2024"

The XV All–Russian conference with international participation "Week of Medical Education - 2024" started at the International Exhibition and Forum "Russia" at VDNH.

The large-scale event was opened by the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko and Rector of Sechenov University Peter Glybochko. The conference provides for the active work of educational and communication platforms, summing up the results of the year and discussing plans, discussions about the present and future of higher medical school.

The Week of Medical Education" traditionally, as for 15 years in a row, brings together world-class experts, healthcare professionals and organizers, specialists in the field of medical education and related industries. Among the organizers of the event are Sechenov University and the Association "Council of Rectors of Medical and Pharmaceutical Higher Educational Institutions"

As part of the opening ceremony, a plenary session "Medical Education 2.0: new quality standards" was held. The guests of the "Week of Medical Education" were greeted by the Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko.

Mikhail Murashko, Head of the Russian Ministry of Health, spoke about current trends in the training of medical personnel.

Today, medicine includes the most advanced technologies from various fields of science: physics, digital transformation, and nuclear technologies. The requirements for medical professionals are changing.

— The training of a medical specialist is very diverse today. Another modern challenge for medical education is to prepare a specialist in such a way that he will be able to work with new sources of information throughout his professional life, analyze the results of his activities and the achievements of his colleagues," Mikhail Murashko said.

A new approach in education makes it possible to work with modern technologies, equipment and medicines, understanding their advantages and limitations in use.

Rector of Sechenov University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Peter Glybochko noted that the Week of Medical Education, which began on April 8 and officially opened on the 9th, "is dedicated to the latest approaches that tomorrow - or rather, today — should be introduced into the educational process at medical universities."
