Within the framework of interuniversity cooperation and according to the Order on BSMU №621a from 20.09.2023g the Youth Scientific Society of BSMU and university scientific-educational center "Psychology, pedagogy, neurology, neurorehabilitation" on October 14, 2023g together with Tashkent Medical Academy (TMA) in hybrid format successfully held the International Conference "Actual issues of neurology: a young scientist's view".
At the plenary session 12 lectures of leading specialists from Uzbekistan, Russia, Germany and Turkey for young scientists and students-participants were heard. Professors-neurologists Novikova L.B. and Akhmadeeva L.R. made speeches from BSMU. Then competition jury met in two halls, 58 youth scientific works were admitted to the competition and reported. The students and young neurologists spoke in English, Russian and Uzbek languages with reports on the results of their own research. Professor Khramova K.V. (BSMU) was the chairperson in Hall 1, and Professor Rakhimbayeva G.S. (TMA) was the chairperson in Hall 2. Associate Professor Tunik V.F. worked as a member of the jury from the Department of Neurology of BSMU.
Congratulations to Vildan Valiev, post-graduate student of BSMU, who took the 2nd place as a young scientist with the work "Complex neuropsychological analysis of combat veterans suffering from headaches" (presentation in Russian), and Mohammadsaid Chegini (4th year medical faculty), who took the 2nd place with the work "Navigating the complex landscape of neurology education" (presentation in English) - both under the guidance of Prof. L.R. Akhmadeeva.
The jury noted three more performances from BSMU in different nominations: our debutants working within the framework of the program "Priority 2030" - students of the 4th year of medical faculty Nasima Sayakhova and Yazgul Turupkulova received a diploma for the work "Eyetracking as a method of assessment of cognitive and psychoemotional characteristics of a person" for the best logical thinking (project "Cognitive and psychoemotional characteristics of university students", supervisor - Professor L.R. Akhmadeeva. ), students of the 5th year of medical faculty Regina Yagudina (Russian-speaking course) and Muhammad Ahmed Bahaaaldin Muhammad Kuritem (English-speaking course) received a diploma for the most original research project with the work "Videoculography for the study of various functions of the nervous system in healthy students and patients with neurological diseases" (project "Primary and secondary cephalgias in veterans of combat operations who have suffered craniocerebral trauma: Neuropsychological analysis", supervisor - Prof. L. Akhmadeeva. R.), assistant of the Department of Neurology Raushaniya Latypova with five-year students of the Faculty of Stomatology Christina Solovieva and Yulia Gabidullina - a diploma as the best
research fellow with the work "The problem of stroke in the presentation of residents" (supervisor - Professor Novikova L.B.).
We wish all participants and winners of the competition, as well as their scientific supervisors health and success! We thank the management of BSMU for constant support of youth science, and the organizers of the event from the Department of Neurology and Medical Psychology of Tashkent Medical Academy represented by the Head - Professor Rakhimbayeva G.S., Head of the School of Young Neurologists - Professor Yakubova M.M. and assistant Rasulova M.B. for cooperation and great contribution to this event, which became a great stimulus for students and staff of neurology departments of different countries and universities for professional and academic growth.
