Strategic session within the framework of implementation of strategic academic leadership program "Priority-2030" started in BSMU

Bashkir State Medical University launched a three-day strategic session as part of the Priority-2030 Strategic Academic Leadership Program. The session is held with the participation of representatives of Sociocenter. The aim of the project-analytical session is to identify the university's strengths, discover problem points and develop a mechanism for effective solutions.

Ayrat Rakhmatullin, Minister of Health of the Republic of Bashkortostan, welcomed the participants of the strategic session. Professor Andrei Keller, Head of "Sociocenter", introduced the expert colleagues and spoke about the goals of the strategic session.

- The Republic of Bashkortostan is a unique region with three participants of the Priority-2030 program and recipients of the special part. This is a confirmation of the level of higher education that has developed in the republic. The "Priority-2030" program was created for obtaining quality education in the country and to be a part of the program is an honor and a privilege for each university. There is a different level of responsibility here. We expect breakthrough projects in science and research, leadership in medicine, particularly in education, technologies and means of treatment, medicines. We expect positive results from stratprojects, implementation of solutions in the economy of the country - said Andrei Vladimirovich.

First of all, Iskander Akhatov, Vice-Rector for Science and International Work, presented the university development program to the session participants. Then the heads of structural units at the university told the session participants about the essence and goals of strategic projects. The following projects will be implemented at the university:

- Innovative ophthalmology cluster with the International Center for Regenerative Medicine, provides for the creation of high-tech and competitive medical products and services, training of personnel with innovative potential in ophthalmology.

- Breakthrough transfer of medical knowledge and health-saving technologies. The project plans to integrate digital technologies into the educational process to train highly qualified specialists competitive in the global labor market, to create and implement the achievements of science to preserve the health of the population.

- Bioengineering. The aim of the project is to conduct fundamental and applied research on the development of bioequivalents of organs and tissues, including with the use of 3-dimensional printing in order to expand the range and increase the volume of products by creating consortia and opening production branches to

improve the quality of medical care and preserve the health of the population of the Russian Federation.

- Target-oriented biologically active substances implies the creation of a unique system of fundamental knowledge and pharmaceutical and bioengineering technologies to improve methods of specialized medical care for global threats to human health of infectious and non-infectious nature. One of the big goals is to create a scientific and technological platform for the development and commercialization of original drugs in the form of small molecules (classical medicinal chemistry).

- Breakthrough transfer of medical knowledge and health-saving technologies. The aim of the project is to integrate digital technologies into the educational process to train highly qualified specialists competitive in the global labor market, to create and implement the achievements of science to preserve the health of the population.

The design and analysis session will continue on October 3 and 4.
