Spartakiade of BSMU freshmen started in the stadium "Dynamo"

On September 29, 2023 on the basis of "Dinamo" stadium the Spartakiade of first-year students of BSMU on selected sports started. The solemn opening ceremony was attended by: Artur Mustafin, vice-rector for educational and social work of BSMU, Ruslan Gaynullin, head of the Department of Physical Education of BSMU, Victor Makin, chairman of "Physical Culture and Sports Club " Viktor Makin and other guests of honor.

- Dear students! It has become a good tradition to hold the freshmen field day at the beginning of the academic year. Our university has created all conditions for sports. During the month the strongest in eight sports will be revealed. The best of the best will be invited to the teams of BSMU. Sport is movement! And movement is life! I wish everyone good luck! - noted in his welcoming address Artur Tagirovich.

On the first day there were tug-of-war and track and field competitions. Also, there was a festival of sports on fulfillment of the All-Russian physical culture and sports complex "Ready for Labor and Defense". During the month the teams of faculties and medical college of BSMU will compete in 8 kinds of sports: volleyball, streetball, mini-football, chess, table tennis, track and field cross, darts and tug-of-war.

As part of the Spartakiade, a sports festival was held to implement the All-Russian physical culture and sports complex "Ready for Labor and Defense". Everyone had the opportunity to perform complexes in the following disciplines: cross-country, pull-up from hanging on a high bar, pull-up from lying on a low bar or 16 kg kettlebell snatch, flexion-extension of the arms in a supine position, forward bend from a standing position on a gymnastic bench, long jump from a place with a two-legged push, torso lifting from lying on the back, shooting. Other types of programs can be taken during the reporting period. Students who have successfully fulfilled the norms will receive badges of distinction. BSMU is among the first universities in the republic started to fulfill the complex. That is why our university is among the leaders in terms of both the number of participants and the results of the complex. In 2022 more than 2000 students and teaching staff of BSMU have fulfilled the complexes.
