International conference on neurology for doctors and students of BSMU was held

The International Interdisciplinary Conference "Comorbid Neurology" was successfully held on 7.09.23, gathering more than 40 listeners in the hall and more than 50 unique online connections, including hospitals of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and universities of these countries.

Co-chairs and co-organizers were Professor Marat Kunafin and Professor Leyla Akhmadeeva. At the opening ceremony the chief physician from Oktyabrsky city Sergey Ivanov made a speech, thanking the leadership of BSMU for active educational work in medical districts/clusters of the Republic.

There were reports on vascular diseases of the brain, including a lecture on thrombolytic therapy of strokes, on pain syndromes, neurological manifestations of somatic diseases, cognitive disorders, gerontoneurology.

The participants of the conference highly appreciated the presentations of Professor Aziza Jurabekova, Head of the Department of Neurology, with doctoral student Sardorbek Rajabov from Samarkand with the results of their own research on neurological manifestations of lupus erythematosus and Natalia Usov from Gomel with the results of their research on postinsular pain conditions.

The next scientific and educational event on neurology under the program of work in medical districts is scheduled for November 7, 2023 (chaired by Professor Bulat Minasov) on the topic: "Multidisciplinary Consilium to the Neurological Patient". This conference will be held in the Medical Chamber of the Republic of Bashkortostan at 2, Aksakov Street.
