University English Olympiad
On April 12, 2023, the intramural stage of the intramural Olympiad in English was held on the basis of the Department of Foreign Languages with the Latin language course of BSMU. 75 first-year students of the University took part in the Olympiad.
The qualifying stage consisted of remote testing to verify knowledge of English grammar, vocabulary, including medical terminology, as well as knowledge of information about the culture and geography of the countries of the language being studied. The second stage consisted in assessing the auditory skills of the students, and during the third stage, the participants were offered topical medical topics for reasoning, where the expert commission took into account the correspondence of the statement to the topic of the question, the completeness and logic of reasoning and how fluently the participant speaks oral speech.
