As part of the preliminary part of the II Eurasian Congress of Urologists, a delegation of urologists from the Republic of Tajikistan, headed by the Chief urologist of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tajikistan Khayretdin Rizoev visited the BSMU Clinic. Within the framework of the visit, a meeting of the delegation was organized with the Rector of BSMU, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Valentin Pavlov. At the BSMU clinic, the guests were shown the technical equipment of the urological and surgical services of the hospital, scientific and educational opportunities of relatively new structural units of BSMU – the Institute of Urology and Clinical Oncology of BSMU and the Center for Interventional and Hybrid Surgery, the department of antitumor therapy aroused no less interest. During the meeting, the rector of BSMU, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Valentin Pavlov stressed that cooperation with Tajikistan in the field of education and healthcare is increasing, today more than 750 students and more than 150 residents are studying at BSMU. In 2022, for the first time at the university, 44 graduates – citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan - were admitted to budget places under residency programs. The University and the Republics are open for joint efforts to combat urgent medical problems, such as oncology and cardiovascular pathology.
Urologists of Bashkortostan and Tajikistan are connected by a long-standing friendship and fruitful cooperation. Zamuddinov Muslukhuddin, one of the first graduates of the Department of Urology of BSMU in 2011-2013, introduced endourology in Tajikistan. Graduates of the BSMU School of Urology have introduced nephrolitholapaxy in Tajikistan, as well as other complex operations for kidney, bladder, and prostate pathology. Urologists from Dushanbe and other cities of Tajikistan are regular participants of congresses held by the Russian Society of Urologists. This year our guests will present reports on single-stage multiple ureteroplasty with panurethral strictures and features of percutaneous nephrolithotomy under ultrasound control. It is gratifying that young doctors always come as part of a delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan together with experienced colleagues. During this visit, four of our young colleagues, after a visit to the BSMU Clinic, expressed a desire to undergo advanced training at the university immediately after the congress.
