Youth Scientific Society for International Students

This week, on the World Science Day for Peace and Development, for the first time, a youth scientific society for international students with the working title "LinKing Science", which in Russian means both "uniting science" and "unifying science", opened its doors. The INR is organized at the Department of Russian Language, Linguistics and International Communication and is dedicated to medical linguistics – a relatively new direction in modern linguistics, studying language and communication in medical activity.

The topic of the first meeting was "Scientific article as a space for communication". Such important concepts as "science", "scientist", "article", "research", goals of scientific activity and features of the scientific picture of the world were discussed at the meeting. The students were presented with articles of different directions - linguistic and medical - and were asked to analyze the similarities and differences in the structure of these articles.

Students showed interest in writing articles, answered questions and offered their vision. INR gathered more than 50 students of 3-5 courses.
