On 22 and 23 September in Bashkir State Medical University Assembly on questions of international on-the-job practice of students of medical universities has been held. More than 60 participants from different cities of Russia took part in this event (Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Samara, Omsk, Tomsk, etc.), among whom were students, residents, members of international departments of medical universities and young doctors.
During these two days participants learned a lot and discussed new trends in international medical exchanges of HCCM (IFMSA - Russia). Students of Samara, South-Ural, St. Petersburg State Medical University shared their experience in conducting public campaigns on reproductive health and AIDS, which was presented in August at the General Assembly of IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students Associations).
On the second day of the Assembly associate professor of Bashkir Academy of state service and management Nina Filippova held a workshop on effective communication with patients for current and future physicians.
During Round Table the representatives of international departments of Saint-Petersburg Pediatric, Southern-Ural, Ryazan, Tomsk, Orenburg, Dagestan state medical universities discussed questions related to international on-the-job practices of students and residents as well as questions of cooperation.
Also Rector of Bashkir State Medical University professor Valentin Pavlov met with the President of the IFMSA - Russia, M.V. Meshkov, and the deputy chief of the international Department of the Dagestan State Medical University S.D. Hadzhalieva. During this fruitful meeting they discussed joint activities and the extension of programs of academic mobility for students and young doctors. Also BSMU signed a cooperation agreement with the Dagestan State Medical University which provides more possibilities for students and teaching staff of BSMU for sharing practical experience and knowledge.
