Nanchang students in Ufa

12 July 2017: students of Nanchang University (China) took part in the Laparoscopic kidney resection within the framework of summer-time on-site training. The operation was performed by Rector of BSMU Corresponding member of Russian Academy of Sciences Professor Valentin N. Pavlov. Chinese student Peng Xiong says “It’s an honor for us that Rector of BSMU Professor Valentin N. Pavlov on his own carried out masterclass in 3D-assisted laparoscopic surgery. During the operation, there were given explanations in English, so that everything was clear”. In 2014 the Agreement on cooperation between BSMU and the Nanchang University was signed. According to the Agreement main directions of cooperation are collaborative studies and educational exchanges. Professor Valentin N. Pavlov says “Due to the Agreement on cooperation between BSMU and the Nanchang University, students from China do their practical work in BSMU Clinic, and our students do the same in China. Such experiences broaden the mind of young people, develop communication skills, and on top of this, it improves reference level.” Students of Nanchang University do their semimonthly practical work on bases of BSMU Clinic, Republican clinical hospital named after G.G. Kuvatov. Hepatologist Dr. Fan Zhou and general physician Dr. Li Qiu will share their medical knowledge and skills with BSMU students. Guests of our university are going to visit the Republican Oncology Centre, Fertility Clinic “Mother and Child’’, Russian eye and plastic surgery center, Health center “ Krasnousolsky”, as well as cultural sights of Ufa. “ Previous year it was the first time students of Nanchang University came to BSMU for practical work. For the third time students of our university went to China for on-site training. This August 9 students of Bashkir State Medical University are going for summer practice to Nanchang University”- says the head of international department Professor Naufal Zagidullin.
