"Mastering Excellences in Studies" club of international students successfully implements the grant project "Surge.Skills"

To form the University-based international platform to stimulate the interest of students to clinical disciplines and to implement innovative forms of teaching, development of various forms of extracurricular work, improving the efficiency of educational activities of the University in 2019 the scientific and educational club MASTERING EXCELLENCE IN STUDIES was established at the Dean's office on work with foreign students.

Members of the club won a grant from Rosmolodezh in 2020. As part of the grant project Surge.Skills, the club purchased equipment worth 400 thousand rubles, including various surgical kits and tools for honing laparoscopic and microsurgical skills.

In order to attract students to educational and research work, 12 bilingual educational sessions were held in the format of study cases. Speakers of the sessions were Russian students who speak English and international students. The club managed to hold most of the sectional classes in September 2020, before the so-called "second wave". During the club meetings, all measures were taken to prevent the spread of a new coronavirus infection. The online broadcast was organized for those who could not attend the meetings in person. In the future, it is planned to conduct sectional classes using remote technologies.

The implementation of the project of the grant project Surge.Skills will help to interest and improve the level of training of our students, and will also help to form a multilingual educational atmosphere in the University.
