"Gold of the Turks" forum as an educational platform for the youth of the Russian Federation

Aliya Khabilova, a 3rd year student of the faculty of Pediatrics, passed the qualifying round and took part in the V all-Russian forum of the Turk youth Gold of the Turks for the second time.

In 2019, after studying the educational programs of the IVolga 2.0 and Gold of the Turks forum, Aliya Khabilova became the winner of the all-Russian competition of youth projects among individuals with the project of intellectual game Halls of reason and won a grant of 100.000 rubles for its implementation.

Gold of the Turks forum took place from September 16-20, 2020 in Kazan. The purpose of the forum was to harmonize interethnic relations among young people and to enrich the cultures of the peoples of Russia. 150 delegates from 18 regions of the Russian Federation gathered on the banks of the Volga river in Kazan to study culture and history of participants.

The forum included the intensive educational program every day from early morning till late night. On the first day, the participants had been divided into teams, where each participant represented different regions.

Associate professors of the Department of state administration of Lomonosov Moscow State University were the teachers of the participants. According to the plan of the educational program, participants created Instagram accounts, where they presented the project that could help the Turks to learn more about each other's culture and history.

Participants also studied social engineering. Aliya's team wrote the project Turk-circle, aimed at educating students, postgraduates and young scientists about the life, history and culture of the Turks. In addition, participants staged scenes, emphasizing the national characteristics of each nation. They talked about the problem the Kushtau Mountain and in what way each country perceived the threat of coronavirus.

Every day participants had a dialogue on equal terms with the representatives of the authorities. Among them there were: I. H. Ayupova, Minister of culture of Republic of Tatarstan, A. A. Polezhaeva and S. A. Jafarov, advisers to the head of Federal Agency on Affairs of nationalities, S. A. Redkin, Deputy head of Federal Agency on Affairs of nationalities, A. R. Zaripov, Deputy of the State Council of Tatarstan, I. I. Sharipov, Director of the house of friendship of peoples of Tatarstan, A. N. Berezov, Director of the house of peoples of Russia and others.

On the final day of the forum, the delegates had a traditional Sabantuy holiday with chak-chak and various games. Participants were able to see Kazan and walk around the main sightseeing of the city. The forum ended with a fireworks display.

According to the results of the forum, the team of Aliya Khabilova took the 3rd place out of 15 in the educational program.
