On September 15, 2020, the Russian Embassy in the Federal Republic of Germany hosted the official closing ceremony of the Russian-German "cross" Year of scientific and educational partnerships. During this Ceremony, Professor Jochen Mau was awarded the certificate of the head of the Department of Medical Cybernetics, which will be opened at Bashkir State Medical University.
- The invitation to head the newly created department will improve the interaction between the German-Russian medical community, promoting coordinated Eurasian solutions to common problems in the field of healthcare, medical education and research, - said Professor Jochen Mau.
Welcoming Professor Jochen Mau, Embassy adviser Vadim Danilin and Helmut Hahn, foreign member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, said parting words about their upcoming duties.
The newly created Department of Cybernetics will specialize in research of the laws of receiving, storing, transmitting and transforming information in the human body. Jochen Mau's research interests include functional biodynamics, social Cybernetics, and cognitive neurodynamics.
Professor Jochen Mau was the head of the Institute for statistics of medicine at the Heinrich Heine University of Dusseldorf for more than 20 years.
