BSMU international students celebrate Day of Russia

The international linguistic and cultural club Between the Cultures at BSMU Scientific Library organized and held a number of events dedicated to the celebration of the Day of Russia.

On June 11, the organizers held the online meeting with foreign students of the University Great Russia.

The Enormous Russia! Great Russia! Majestic Russia! How many epithets do we use to describe our great country? Foreign tourists who have visited the largest country in the world give different characteristics. The centuries-old history and culture of our Motherland has always attracted and fascinated not only our citizens, but also citizens of other countries. Russian culture is rich and diverse. It contains the traditions and customs of different nationalities. Modern Russian culture is a mix of bright colors. There is still debate as to what is the greatness of our country? In the unbending character of the Russian person or in the diversity of its nature? In the power of love and loyalty to the Motherland or the inexhaustible supply of natural resources of our state? So what, in your opinion, is the greatness of Russia? The participants of the online meeting discussed these and other issues.

On June 15, the international linguistic and cultural club Between the Cultures of BSMU conducted the online tour of the most exquisite Museum in Russia - the Hermitage, a Museum where you will spend 10 years on if you look at each work of art for at least one minute. Majestic halls, luxury velvet, the sparkle of diamonds and gold decorations, bright rooms, and exquisite candleholders are just a small part of the unforgettable beauty, which the participants of the meeting met. The students learned the history of this amazing Palace, touched the era of Empress Elizabeth and Catherine the Great.

On June 16, international students of BSMU took part in the quiz We live in Russia, where they had to answer questions on the geography, history and culture of Russia individually.
