According to the order of the Ministry of healthcare of RB dated April 11, 2020 №310-A on Reorientation of medical organizations into the hospitals of Ufa BSMU Clinic is reoriented to the hospital for COVID-19 patients.
The hospital is located in the Therapeutic building, a separate nine-floor building. It possesses 140 beds. The building houses the Department of resuscitation and intensive care. There are boxed wards that are equipped with the necessary devices for long-term artificial ventilation and intensive care monitoring of patients. It has sufficient resources for the diagnosis and treatment of infection, additional ventilators have been purchased.
Patients with community-acquired pneumonia with a confirmed coronavirus infection, patients with SARS symptoms with a confirmed coronavirus infection will be admitted to the hospital according to the routing.
The whole staff of BSMU Clinic is involved in the fight against coronavirus. They received detailed instructions and additional training on the diagnosis of COVID-19, as well as the reception and treatment of patients.
In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, staff works in shifts, for 14 days. All conditions are created for their stay in the hospital.
The team starts working as a part of 51 people. The team includes 11 doctors, residents, and senior students who have certificates confirming passing of the admission exam for the implementation of medical or pharmaceutical activities in the positions of secondary medical staff.
Chief Russian federal and regional TV channels has broadcasted the reports about doctors, residents, and senior students of Bashkir State Medical University who work at the COVID-19 Hospital at BSMU Clinic.
