New Horizons of Pharmaceutical Education – BSMU winter educational school

In order to expand and develop the polylingual environment in the Republic of Bashkortostan, as well as to stimulate students' interest in Pharmaceutical Science, Bashkir State Medical University has organized the winter educational school New Horizons of Pharmaceutical Education for the winter holidays (3.02.2020 – 08.02.2020). Important tasks were set for the Winter school: increasing educational motivation, adapting foreign students to the conditions of life and study in Russia, increasing students' interest in future professional activities, etc. In order to gain the goal, students were sent Birsk Medical and Pharmaceutical College.

During the existence of the Winter school, students managed to acquire not only new knowledge and skills in the field of their future profession, but also visited many excursions, entertainment events, participated in study cases, business games, evenings of creativity and songs. Thus, the program of the Winter school included the following career guidance events: the Round table Issues of professional organization within the modern requirements of the pharmaceutical industry, visits to Pharmacy and Health care organizations in the city of Birsk, preparation for professional Olympiads, etc.

It should be noted that Birsk Medical and Pharmaceutical College has traditionally shown incredible hospitality by organizing cultural and educational program for students, which included the visit to the recreation center Lesnaya Skazka, case study Folk traditions, Preparation of solutions, powders and suppository, Making herbal teas, usiness game Delivery of drugs and advising consumers of pharmaceutical services, etc.

We hope that such schools will become a good tradition in our University, since it is impossible to deny the importance of such interaction and collaboration of students with each other, as well as with various health organizations. Joint classes and activities of foreign students with Russian students certainly enriched the vocabulary of the former, and played an important role in creating and maintaining a multilingual space.
