BSMU international students took an active part in sports activities at the New Year holidays

More than 1,500 international students study at the Bashkir State Medical University. The students come to study at BSMU from India, Colombia, Africa, the Persian Gulf and the CIS countries. The University management has provided all conditions for organizing leisure activities for international students at the New Year holidays.

At the holiday time - from 2 till 8 January 2020, the following sports events took place: competitions in mini-football, cricket, volleyball, and badminton. Sports events were in the BSMU campus #10 and the Dynamo sports complex. Mass skating at the ice rink and swimming classes in the Dynamo pool were also organized. There was a section on mountain skiing and snowboarding in Olympic Park.

BSMU international students spent holidays with health benefits and shared their impressions:

– I skated for the first time in my life. It was very difficult at first. Thanks to the advice and support of friends, I achieved my goal. Now skating is my favorite activity. I did not think you could have so much fun outdoors in the cold winter. I took selfie at the rink and sent it to my family. They were also very happy. I would like to sincerely thank the University management on behalf of all foreign students, – said Asad from Egypt.

– Thanks to the understanding and support of the University, a cricket tournament was held away from home. The national game allowed us to relax, have fun and improve our health, – said Kumar from India.

– We played mini-football every day for seven days. We took part in the tournament and showed good results. As a result, we spent the holidays actively and with great use. We express our gratitude to the University management for providing this opportunity, – Jahongir from Tajikistan shared his impressions.
