On 15 May the Olympiad of the Lower Volga Cluster on Pharmacy was held in the Bashkir State Medical University. The Olympiad is officially included in the list of Olympiads and other intellectual and (or) creative competitions and events for the 2018/19 academic year, approved by the Order of the Ministry of Education of Russia.
The Olympiad was attended by students of the 4th and 5th courses in the specialty "Pharmacy" in educational institutions of higher education, included in the scientific and educational medical cluster "Lower Volga".
Alexander Tsyglin, Vice-rector for Educational work of the Bashkir State Medical University, made a welcoming speech to the participants of the Olympiad. He noted the special importance of the first Olympiad and noted that such events are very important for the further development of cooperation between higher education institutions of the Lower Volga medical cluster.
The jury of the Olympiad were Professor Nataliya Kudashkina, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, acting Dean of the faculty of Pharmacy, associate Professor Fanis Kildiyarov, deputy dean of the faculty of Pharmacy, and teaching staff of specialized departments of the faculty of Pharmacy.
As part of the first stage of the Olympiad, the teams presented their universities and faculties, demonstrated their educational and research activities.
At the second stage of the Olympiad, participants were offered test tasks in such pharmaceutical disciplines as Pharmacognosy, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Management and Economics of Pharmacy. During the final stage, the participants of the Olympiad had to solve a number of situational problems (cases) from real pharmaceutical practice.
According to the results of the Olympiad, the teams-winners were determined:
First place: the team of the Bashkir State Medical University;
Second place: team of Samara State Medical University;
Third place: team of Medical Institute of Penza State University.
The winning teams were awarded with cups, medals and diplomas.
In conclusion, Professor Nataliya Kudashkina, acting Dean of the faculty of pharmacy and the teaching staff of specialized departments congratulated the participants with an excellent performance at the Olympiad and wished them further great success in their studies, research and practice.
