German professors Hans Schlitt and Wolf Wieland gave lectures for Ufa doctors and BSMU students

On 24 April, the second day of Professor Hans Schlitt and Professor Wolf Wieland’s visit to Ufa in the framework of participation in the International Surgery week. It should be reminded that Professor Hans Schlitt is Director of the Surgical Clinic at the Medical center of the University of Regensburg, leading transplant surgeon of Germany, and Wolf Wieland is Professor of Urology at the University of Regensburg. That day the professors held a series of lectures for doctors, residents and students.

At the General Surgery department with the Course of Radiation Diagnosis IAPE in G. G. Kuvatov Republican Clinical Hospital the professors met with doctors and residents. The moderator of the meeting was Professor Mazhit Nurtaylakov, head of the General Surgery department with the Course of Radiation Diagnostics IAPE. In the hall "Medic" Professor Hans Schlitt gave lectures "Fundamentals of organ and tissue transplantation" and "Technical features of related liver transplantation". The lecture was held in an open discussion form, where students and doctors asked questions to the Professor and received detailed answers.

BSMU hosted a round table on Chemotherapy with the heads of departments, residents-oncologists. At the meeting Professor Dina Sakaeva, the deputy chief physician for Chemotherapy of the Republican Oncology center, made the report "Options for chemotherapy treatment of colorectal tumors with simultaneous metastases", Professor Hans Schlitt presented the report "Advanced surgical and multidisciplinary concepts of treatment of liver tumors". The participants of the round table discussed topical issues and issues of Oncosurgery and Chemotherapy in the world practice and in the healthcare system of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Professor Wolf Wieland moderated the General Medicine section in foreign languages at the 84^th All-Russian Scientific Conference of students and young scientists with international participation "Issues of theoretical and practical medicine", took part in the closing ceremony and awarded the winners of the conference.
