Bashkir State Medical University and the University of Vienna (Austria) sign the agreement on cooperation
On 8 April the representatives of the University of Vienna visited Bashkir State Medical University for a master class, lectures and acquaintance with the University: Beda Hartmann - member of the Medical Association of Vienna, head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology department of the Eastern Social Medical Center and Danube hospital of the University of Vienna, Alexander Albrecht - head of the Obstetrics and Gynecology department of Burgenland hospital (Austria), Professor of the Eastern Social Medical Center and the Danube hospital, and Polina Litoshinskaya - doctor of the Eastern Social Medical Center and the Danube hospital of the University of Vienna. http://bashgmu.ru/en/news/21991/
On April 9, during the visit the Bashkir State Medical University and the University of Vienna signed the agreement on cooperation. Between the Universities it is planned to carry out joint projects in the field of medical education, science and health, organization of joint scientific and educational symposia, conferences and forums, the implementation of the programme of students’ exchange, residents, graduate students and doctors.
- The University of Vienna is one of the leading universities in Europe. This year the Republic of Bashkortostan opens its representative office in Austria, and we, together with the Ministry of Healthcare of the Republic of Bashkortostan, look forward to fruitful cooperation with the University of Vienna. Nowadays, we already have experience of cooperation with medical institutions in Austria: the Medical University of Graz, Paracelsus Medical University and Leoben University of Mines, as well as continue active cooperation with universities in China, Germany, and Spain. BSMU students and practitioners will be able to study at the Medical faculty of the University of Vienna, which will allow to learn from the experience and acquire the necessary theoretical and practical competencies that will be implemented in the Healthcare system of the Republic of Bashkortostan, - commented Valentin Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS.
