BSMU is the best University in Bashkortostan by the results of “I am a Professional” Olympiad

Bashkortostan took the 8th place in the number of students at "I am a Professional" Olympiad among the regions of Russia. In total 3472 participants of competitions became winners and medalists. "I am a Professional" is one of the flagship projects "Russia is the country of opportunities", created on the initiative of the Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation has implemented and supported the project.

Bashkortostan entered the top 10 regions of Russia by the number of students and graduates who took prizes. Among 74 winners from Bashkortostan there is one silver and two bronze medalists. Twenty-three participants became the winners of the competition and 48 – prizewinners.

"Three universities- leaders of the region in the number of diploma holders are: BSMU (29 people), Ufa State Aviation Technical University (20 people) and Ufa State Petroleum Technical University (12)", — said the head of "I am a Professional" Olympiad Valeriya Kasamara. "The most important achievement of the second season of the Olympiad is to attract participants from all regions of Russia. Among the winners this year were representatives of 75 different regions. Many of them will get internships in leading Russian companies this year and will be able to change their lives, and at the same time to contribute to the development of the country's economy.

Leaders in the number of students were Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, Nizhny Novgorod and Sverdlovsk regions, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Primorsk and Perm regions. I am glad to see how for the second year in a row students from different parts of Russia win in the Olympiad ", — said the Deputy Director General of "Russia is the country of opportunities" Vladislav Davankov.

In the new season of the Olympiad, the number of students increased in all Federal districts. This year almost five times more successful participants from the North Caucasus Federal district (growth from 12 to 53). In the far Eastern Federal district, the number of graduates has more than doubled (from 53 to 138). Indicators in Moscow (growth from 627 to 1131), St. Petersburg (growth from 238 to 475), as well as in the Siberian (growth from 234 to 443) and North-Western (growth from 35 to 61) Federal districts almost doubled. One and a half times growth was shown by the Volga (growth from 348 to 520), Central (growth from 145 to 217) and Ural (growth from 183 to 252) Federal districts. In the southern Federal district, the number of students increased from 155 up to 168 people.

Registration for the second season of "I am a Professional" Olympiad ended on 22 November. Students and graduates filed 523 thousand applications for participation, which is 78% more than last year (295 thousand registrations). The number of Olympiad directions also doubled — from 27 to 54.

From 24 November till 11 December, the committee has selected for the online stage of the Olympiad. More than 73 thousand participants completed the tasks of the online stage. This is 46% more than in 2017: then the qualifying stage passed about 50 thousand students.

The final full-time stage of the competition was held from 26 January to 17 March 2019. It was attended by 10,886 students — twice more than in the first season (4827 participants in 2017-2018).

The winners of the competition will receive cash prizes (200 thousand rubles for gold medal winners on the track "The Bachelor" and 300 thousand rubles for the track "Master's degree"); benefits for enrolling in master's and postgraduate degrees from leading universities and research centers will be included in the national database "I am a Professional" and get on internship in prestigious Russian company. In 2017-2018 students began 2034 participant. Of these, more than 750 they took advantage of the benefits and entered Russian universities. More than 430 winners and prize-winners were trained in large companies-partners of the Olympiad.
