BSMU Francophone Scientific Society held the meeting"The problems of vaccination in different countires"

On 2 March, BSMU Francophone Scientific Society (la Société scientifique francophone) held the regular meeting in BSMU Library. That time the participants from Congo, Côte d'Ivoire, Chad and Russia discussed problems of vaccination in different countries.

The global vaccination, controlled by the World Health Organization, saves millions of lives every year. Nevertheless, there are still lots of bioethical, technical and financial problems to solve. This tricky topic, with various sides to consider, gave birth to an interesting and lively discussion. Minasov Timur Bulatovich, professor of the Traumatology and Orthopedics department, told the participants about dangers of poliomyelitis, methods of treatment and prevention. In the end of the meeting, the plan of the next assemblies was talked over. This meeting, held in a cozy atmosphere with the necessary technical support, was possible due to the hospitable staff of BSMU Library.

Meetings of the Francophone Scientific Society are held regularly, and new fans of Moliere’s language are always welcome to take part.
