BSMU international students became winners at the festival "Kaleidoscope of Cultures" in USPTU

International students took part in the festival of languages "Kaleidoscope of Cultures", which was held on 29 November 2018 in Ufa State Petroleum Technical University.

The festival consisted of a business part, a round table and a concert program. In the business part of the Festival the scientific conference was organized. The purpose of the conference was to promote the development of scientific research of young scientists, to motivate them to study the Russian language. Students from China, Vietnam, Côte d'Ivoire, Morocco, Iraq, Egypt, Cuba, Angola, Yemen, Congo, Colombia, India, Turkey, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan spoke about the most vivid and original national traditions, revealed the secrets of national dishes, acquainted with national costumes, showed the originality of the Arabic and Chinese writing and other features of the language of their countries. Students took part in the original photo shoot in national costumes of different peoples of the world.

BSMU international students won prizes in the competition of scientific reports presented at the Festival in the Russian language: 1 place – Praveen Sharma (supervisor Petrosyan M. M.), 2nd place – Movie Jafet Movie and Chukwudi Favor Amarachukwu (supervisor Linnik L. A.).

Linnik L. A. and Petrosyan M. M., teachers of the Russian language course, attended the round table "Problems of teaching the Russian language in polyethnic space". Teachers-philologists from Ufa universities shared their experience of teaching Russian as a foreign language.

The festive finale of the Festival was a big concert "Meeting of friends". The audience watched with amazement what was happening on the improvised stage: colorful numbers of different peoples replaced each other like a kaleidoscope. Bright costumes, recognizable motifs, native languages – all this enhanced the sense of unity of the peoples, whose representatives gathered under one roof in this beautiful evening. Creative number of our students was met with ovation.
