BSMU delegation visited Donauspital Clinic (Vienna, Austria)

On 27 November 2018 BSMU delegation visited the second largest clinic in Vienna, Donauspital. The delegation consists of Valentin Pavlov, rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS, Professor Shamil Safin, head of the Medical Rehabilitation department with the Courses of Neurosurgery and Acupuncture IAPE, Professor Naufal Zagidullin, head of the International Relations department, Professor Adel Izmailova, associate Professor Azat Bilyalova, head of the Information Technologies department. The visit is held in the framework of the visits to the universities and clinics of Austria. The Clinic serves about 300 thousand of the city's population and has high-quality equipment for medical and educational activities.

In the framework of the visit BSMU delegation was given a tour of the clinic, departments of Urology, Internal Medicine (Cardiology), Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the operating unit. Later they met with heads of the departments – Professor Rauchenwald, Professor Stefanelli, Professor Hartmann and Lotar Maierhofer, director of the Medical Unit. The participants of the meeting discussed future cooperation on scientific, medical work and academic mobility.
