BSMU international students took part in the Youth International Scientific and Practical Summer University in Orenburg

From 20 till 24 August 2018 Orenburg State Medical University of the Ministry of Healthcare of Russia organized the Youth International Scientific and Practical Summer University in Orenburg. This year the scientific and practical theme of the Summer University was devoted to preventive and personalized medicine.

Within the framework of cooperation of the scientific and educational medical cluster "Nizhnevolzhsky", BSMU international students were sent to Orenburg and took an active part in the work of the Summer University.

In addition to educational activities aimed at expanding students' knowledge in the field of Anatomy, Biochemistry, Psychotherapy, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Fetal Medicine, Pediatrics, traditional Chinese acupuncture and Moxotherapy, the Summer University also organized master classes in bio-hacking, yoga, tabata, gymnastics and fitness aerobics in the aspect of a personalized approach to the detection and treatment of diseases. In addition, students also expanded their knowledge of the history and traditions of Orenburg region, glorified the edge of Orenburg downy shawls, Russian musical culture and visited the salt lakes in Sol-Iletsk, well-known for their healing properties.

All activities within the framework of the Summer University were accompanied by the active involvement of each of the participants in the master classes, as a result of which it was possible not only to improve the educational level of students, but also to establish contacts between young representatives of the thirteen participating countries.
