BSMU representatives have been assigned the International Certificates on Robotic Surgery

Valentin Pavlov, the rector of BSMU, corresponding member of RAS, Ruslan Safiullin, head of the Robotic Surgery Center in BSMU Clinic, and Marat Urmantsev, head of the Oncology department in BSMU Clinic, underwent training at IRCAD minimally invasive surgery training center, Strasbourg, France.

IRCAD minimally invasive surgery training center is located in the University hospital of Strasbourg and is an international center for the training of surgeons in various fields. Since 2015, the second experimental operating room, equipped with 7 robots, has allowed surgeons to train specifically for robotic surgery.

- After receiving the certificates, we entered the international register of robotic surgeons. Today, in the first center of robotic surgery of VFD, based in BSMU Clinic, we have conducted more than a hundred operations. Now, each operation will be registered in the international data register that expands the boundaries, capabilities and level of work of robotic surgeons of our Clinic, - commented the rector of BSMU, Valentin Pavlov.
