The leading urologists conducted simultaneously four different operations in BSMU Clinic

Doctors from Russia, China and Germany met in Ufa at the All-Russian Urologists School. In BSMU Clinic specialists conducted four operations.

In this room Sergei Kotov, urologist from Moscow, operates. For the first time such an operation was carried out more than a century ago.  This is one of the oldest surgical procedures. However, despite the development of medicine and technology, it does not lose the relevance.

Each method of treatment of prostate cancer is unique. For example, the operation with the usage of the famous Da Vinci robot minimizes blood loss and damage to the nerve endings. At the same time, another surgery takes place, but in another room. The obvious advantage of this operation is a quick rehabilitation period. Thus, well-known surgeons give a master class to their colleagues within the IV All-Russian Urologists School.

The guests of the forum were not only from Russia, but also experts from abroad. Doctors from Germany, Bulgaria and China came to Ufa to discuss oncourology of the future.

Over the next two days, the leading surgeons from Russia and abroad will conduct 15 demonstration operations in different techniques – open, laparoscopic and robot-assisted.
