- We see great progress in the Republican hospital, as well as medicine in general in the Republic. We met with the President of Abkhazia. We discussed the way we have passed this year and set tasks for the future. The administration of the Republic and the Ministry of Healthcare have big plans for developing medicine. We discussed the construction of a large center for cardiovascular surgery, modern endovascular surgery, as well as the development of rehabilitation. In the Russian Federation, we have just launched the pilot projects to develop rehabilitation. In Abkhazia, it is very important, because after a serious operation, there is simply no place to discharge the patient for rehabilitation after cardiac surgery, after traumatological operations, prosthetics," Valentin N. Pavlov said on radio Sputnik Abkhazia.

The agreement between the Bashkir State Medical University and the Ministry of Healthcare of Abkhazia was signed last year, the main points of which are the introduction of modern methods of treatment and training of specialists. Currently, workshops on advanced training doctors of Abkhazia are being implemented, this summer it is planned to practice residents in the field of traumatology, gynecology at the Republican hospital of Abkhazia.
