The Minister of Healthcare, Veronika Skvortsova: “The number of emergency stenting has increased by 9.5 times during 5 years”
Speaking at the SPIEF-2018, the Minister of Healthcare of the Russian Federation, Veronika Skvortsova, informed that due to the work of the vascular and trauma centers network, it became possible to improve the quality of medical care significantly.
"The whole system is organized in such a way that within the "golden hour" from any place of the country it was possible to get to the cardio, vascular or trauma center, where they can provide the necessary medical care. In 2012, we had less than 200 same centers, and now there are 609 vascular and more than 1.5 thousand trauma centers, and this network covers the whole country," - Veronika Skvortsova pointed out.
The Minister also added that thanks to the work of the system, it was possible to increase the volume of new technologies use, such as emergency stenting, which increased by 9.5 times in 5 years.
