BSMU and Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine signed agreement on the program for semester exchanges on pharmacology

On 16 May, the Republican scientific and practical conference of otorhinolaryngologists and audiologists "Modern Technologies in Otorhinolaryngology and Audiology” was held with the participation of professors from Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Nyanchan (China). At the end of the conference BSMU and Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine signedagreement on the program for semester exchanges on pharmacology.

Jiangqian Du, Vice-rector, Professor of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guichun Shi, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Bo Tao, deputy chief physician of Jiangxi University hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, represented the Chinese delegation.

Nowadays, Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine is one of the leading universities in China and is in the Top-10 Universities. Traditional Chinese medicine in China is basic; it has a long history and is based on the treatment with herbs, acupuncture, and massage. Particular importance is given to diseases prevention, rehabilitation and treatment of circulating vital energy.

For the introduction of new technologies and combining classical medicine with traditional, the professors from China were acquainted with the work of the Otorhinolaryngology department with the Course of APEI, visited the reconstructive hearing-restoring surgery at the department in G.G. Kuvatov Republican Clinical Hospital. In turn, the doctors and staff of the department received interesting knowledge in the field of traditional Chinese medicine.

After that, Vice-rector of Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Jiangqiang Du, gave a lecture for the third year students of the faculty of pharmacy. The Professor clearly demonstrated the capabilities of Jiangxi University and spoke about the peculiarities of the educational process. During the lecture, the issue was resolved on conclusion of the agreement of academic mobility between BSMU and Jiangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine students.

As part of the conference, the delegation from China visited BSMU Clinic and Simulation Center.
